All tours are open to anyone with an interest in the great ourdoors or the study subject concerned. No previous knowledge or qualifications are necessary as information packs will be provided for our study tours and your experienced guide Allen Fraser will impart his extensive knowledge of all things Shetland.
Study Tours
We offer two 7day study tours.
Our `Rock On Shetland` Study Tour concentrates on the 3 billion year geological history of Shetland visiting some of the best geological localities to be found anywhere in Europe.
Our `Landscape Mysteries` Study Tour has a strong archaeological content and connects Shetland`s geology with 7000 years of human habitation and world class archeological sites.
4 Day Guided Walks Package.
We also offer a 4 day guided walking tour that includes some of the best elements from our study tours. Our`Spectacular Shetland`series of guided walks highlights the grandeur and interest of the physical landscape of Shetland.
One-day Guided Walks and Scenic Drives
Shetland Geotours offer a range of daily guided walks and scenic tours to the mysterious, scenic and wilder parts of Shetland.
If you`d like something different from the circuit of photo stops and craft shops then join me, Allen Fraser, to get an `off the beaten track` experience of Shetland. My speciality subject is Shetland`s unique geology but I`ll also introduce you to Shetland`s fascinating landscapes, archaeology and wonderful wildlife.
