Second Wind Sailing and Motor Cruising is an RYA recognised training centre in Scotland.

We are based in Troon Yacht Haven, Troon, in South Ayrshire and run RYA training courses for both sail and motor cruising, with a maximum of 4 students on board. We also offer Skippered Charter throughout the Clyde and Western Isles for up to 6 people.

A small family company, Second Wind Sailing is built on the principles of providing friendly and 1st class tuition and charter, delivered by experienced, competent instructors, aboard a very well maintained, comfortable and manageable training boat.

History and The Natural World

We are entering our eleventh year in the under water tours of Scap Flow. Last year we upgraded our Hybail ROV to a Sea Eye Falcon as well as adding a 32 inch LCD monitor for viewing. The combination has improved the underwater real time footage, which was excellent, to absolutely awesome. The more powerful ROV covers more ground and and at the same time is a steadier platform to view the perfect images of the old historic wrecks of the Kaiser`s High Seas Fleet. We can get up close to the marine life, which sometimes includes the occasional diver, with the crisp clarity of the high resolution onboard camera.

Leisure Boat Trips, Wildlife Safari`s, Breakdown Assistance, Stag and Hen Parties and trips for that special occasion. We also offer commercial support for Filming and Media, Guard Ships, Safety Boats and Personnel transport for all marine applications, 24/7.

We also operate a private ferry service to all Clyde islands and can supply a range of vessel to suit most requirements, including rib charter/hire.
