Callendar House

Callendar House is an imposing mansion set within the grounds of Falkirk's Callendar Park. Built in the style of a French château, the house has a 600-year history, playing host to many prominent historical figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots, Oliver Cromwell, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Queen Victoria. The current building is by far the most substantial historical building in the area, with a 300 ft (91 m) frontage.

Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum

In 1895 the Birthplace Cottage was bought as a surprise 60th birthday present for Andrew Carnegie by his wife Louise and then let out to tenants.

With the creation of the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust in 1903, a caretaker was installed and in 1908 it was first opened to the public.

Souter Johnnie`s Cottage

Isle of Arran Heritage Museum

The Isle of Arran Heritage Museum, founded in 1976(open to the public in 1979) is on the main road, at Rosaburn, just north of Brodick, on the beautiful Island of Arran, Scotland. Originally the site of a small school, the present group of buildings were a croft and smiddy, and include  a farmhouse, cottage, bothy, milk house, laundry, stable, coach house and harness room. The exhibits reflect the social history, archaeology and geology of the island.
