A popular destination for golfers far and wide with over 40 golf courses including 3 Open Championship courses. Ayrshire & Arran offers stunning scenery, granite mountains and plenty of beautiful coastline, ideal for walkers, cyclists, fishermen and sailing enthusiasts alike. Isle of Arran Coastal Way

Arran is a small island, about 50 km top to bottom, off the west coast of Scotland. The island has a long history, with farming being the main occupation down the centuries.

Today, however, the business of Arran is looking after the many visitors (more than half a million) who come each year on holiday to relax for a couple of weeks. And walking is far and away the most popular activity of these visitors. Arran has long been a magnet for hill walkers in Scotland with many fine climbs in the north of the island. But most people prefer low level walks and Arran has these in abundance.

The Coastal Way is the most recently developed low level walk on the island.
